All ratings for FLEMINGTON are for DEAD/SLOW track. Rail is True. With the rain, and the traffic of recent meetings here expecting the rail be off, especially later in the day. It may pay to be out in middle or beyond in straight races too??
In Sydney racing is at ROSEHILL again and track is HEAVY again. Rail goes back True (6m last week and no bias). Run-ons will get their chance especially later if tempo is there...
BET OF THE DAY (Melbourne)
FLEMINGTON - Race 3 No.2 - CHAMELEON - Top win 1st-up beating subsequent listed winner then chased Trustus hard 2nd-up when doubt in the best going (on inside). Beat all-bar Rapid Sensation (who led on leaders' track) 3rd-up last prep at 1600m. Back to own sex here.
BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)
ROSEHILL - Race 4 No.2 - PINS ON PARADE - 1st-up. Beat all-bar Gold Trail when 1st-up last time in before going on to place in Listed grade behind a few smart ones (Dao Dao/ Musket). Trialled very well. Go well.
BEST VALUE BET OF THE DAY
ROSEHILL - Race 8 No.9 - FIRST LOOK - Has come back well (only average run was 2nd-up) and found the line like a coming winner last week. No worries wet and quick back-up a positive. Going away from the Bejewelled form here...
BEST EACH-WAY BET OF THE DAY
FLEMINGTON - Race 8 No.6 - SWOOPER - Was a forgive run at MV last time (held-up / worst ground), same story prior (wide/ on-pace track at 1400m!). To 1800m and likes Flemington. Gate a worry unless... Pattern has them well off the inside rail.
BEST ROUGHIE OF THE DAY
FLEMINGTON - Race 6 No.2 - RUBIJON - Might be the value here. Top run at Seymour from mile back in on-pace dominated race with 61.5kg. Desperate for the 1600m, loves Flemington and good speed here suits. Wet or dry no worries.
