Freo Get the Points

The Controversial finish to the StKilda V  Fremantle game was a total sHaMoZzLe.
The Field umpire didn't hear the piss weak siren at Aurora Stadium
that should have ended the game when Freo were in front and the game continued.
St Kilda forced a draw when 'full time'was finally signalled...
The AFL Commission will meet tonight to decide if the points will be shared
or if Freo are given all 4 points.
Most coaches interviewed seem to think Freo should get the points as they were in front when the siren 'sounded'.....but the game is not over till the umpire signals 'full time', which he had not done...
The result will definately shape the final eight in this even competition...

Geelong have waited 43 years to enjoy a taste of Premiership success
to finally take home some silverwear back down to 'sleepy hollow'
They came back from a long way to beat hot favourites Adelaide to win the NAB Pre-Season Cup

Last night....
Resting ruckman Cameron Mooney
was the hero with 3 last quarter goals.
The only negative was the knee injury to Cameron Ling which threatens the start of his season.
Well done 'Catters'.....Now for the real thing

Ben Cousins steps down as
West Coast Skipper !
(Tecoma Cowboy with this report)
In what was seen as an inevitable move, Cousins has resigned the captaincy
of the West Coast Eagles amid an ongoing police investigation into why he
abandoned his car 50 meters from a Booze Bus ( Random Police Breath Testing Station)
and ran away from the area.
We are hearing eye witness reports that he was not drunk at the time.
After all he had only been at a friends wedding (at a footy club).
Maybe he wanted to burn off some of those kilojoules he had built up from a few lemonades
and a piece of pavlova.
Perhaps he needed to take a leak.
Maybe he saw a distressed wombat in the distance and went to render assistance...
