::Australian rock band Mondo Rock headed by lead singer Ross Wilson, reigned supreme in the Oz rock scene from 1978 to 1990.
::Mondo Rock had many hits on the Australian music charts, with early hits including Fugitive Kind from the 'Primal Park' debut album (with guitarist Peter Laffy now frontman of The King Bees..) plus 3 songs from the award-winning 1981 album Chemistry including State Of The Heart, Cool World and Chemistry.
::Success continued for Mondo Rock in 1982 with the release of their third album Nuovo Mondo, with the top 10 single No Time, as well as the top 40 hits The Queen And Me and In Another Love.
::Mondo Rock's biggest success came in 1984 with The Modern Bop album, with the big hit Come Said the Boy, which was banned at the time of release by many radio stations as it was too provocative.
::In 1986 Mondo rock had success in America with the Boom Baby Boom album, with the song Primitive Live Rites, which achieved Top 10 status in various states of U.S.A.
