Congratulations to Daddy Cool
being (at long last) inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame
Wednesday August 16th 2006, nearly 36 years after 'Eagle Rock' took the Australian charts by storm
breaking all previous sales records; Ross Wilson ( who is already a Hall of Fame Member) joins Ross Hannaford (Guitar), Wayne Duncan (Bass), and Gary Young (Drums) in being recognised by their peers.
For a band that was only together for 2 years from late 1970- till Late 1972 ( except a few occasional appearances and a short lived reunion in 1975 and a failed double a sided single with Skyhooks in the 90's) 'DC' had a tremendous impact on the OZ music scene.
Some gigs and a release of an album of new material are in the pipeline.... Their 30 year hiatus was ended at the Tsunami Benefit Concert at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in 2005 and if anything the lads have got better over the years.

All members have stayed active in the industry all these years so there is no problem remembering how to play although some of the 4 part harmonies took a while to re learn from all reports.
Check out the DVD 'The Complete Daddy Cool' which was released last year. It includes the complete 2005 gig, and heaps of clips and doco footage....a real treat...
::November 2006 Update::
Daddy Cool also have a new Album out titled 'The New Cool' available at all good music stores.
Get out and buy a copy now..if we can get the album in the charts we are sure the band will get out and do some more gigs.....
