.::SFi::. s H a M o Z z L e F a c t s & i n f o ::CHRiS JUDD::facts & info:: Christopher Dylan Judd The PREMiERSHiP CAPTAIN of The WEST COAST EAGLES A.F.L. ~ A U S T R A L i A N F O O T B A L L L E A G U E ::Chris Judd was born on the 8th September 1983, and was recruited from Caulfield Grammer/Sandringham U18, Victoria, and was selected by West Coast with the third pick in the 2001 AFL National Draft. ::Chris Judd had 2 shoulder reconstructions before the age of 18. ::Chris Judd had only played 1 game in the WAFL (East Perth), before the Eagles decided he was ready for his AFL debut, after kicking 4 goals and getting a maximum 5 votes in the Sandover Medal count. ::In 2004 Chris Judd was appointed 1 of 4 Eagles vice captains, and won his first West Coast Eagles’ Club Champion award for best and fairest player. ::Chris Judd won the 2004 Brownlow Medal making him the first West Coast Eagle to win the prestigious award of the best and fairest player in the AFL, as judged by the umpires. ::Chris Judd won the 2005 Norm Smith Medal in the AFL Grand Final when West Coast lost to the Sydney Swans by four points. ::In March 2006 Chris Judd was named captain of the West Coast Eagles, succeeding Ben Cousins, who resigned as captain after being charged for failing to stop for a police breath test. ::Chris Judd won the 2006 Leigh Matthews Trophy as judged the Most Valuable Player in the AFL by his peers.
